You must not remember Lunenburg Central and region B in the 80's...just cuz PV turned Central away three times doesn't mean they were weak...2 of em were won in the last 20 seconds...and for a long time LC had the record for most consecutive regular season wins...may still for that matter.

I don't know about the last second play, but yes they did beat Appy closely in the opening round. Dang, those two teams probably looked like they bought their uniforms together and shared them to the best of my knowledge. Same helmets, jerseys, etc.
Jonesville beat Rye Cove in the regional final at RC. Mud Bowl. RC took the opening kickoff back all the way to the 5 and couldn't score. Jonesville did score in the next possession or two. From there on, RC would get down the field and stall over and over again. RC had beaten Jonesville at Jonesville in the regular season. It was a good game, but I wish there would have been a different outcome. Jonesville had some big boys on the line, as did RC.
Jonesville then defeated Rural Retreat in the semis, and I believe Strasburg in the finals at Bullitt. Jonesville's QB took a beating that game running the option, but he ran it properly.
I remember LC being tough, but they absolutely killed everyone in B and I don't believe they ever had much trouble with Region A.
No dynasty tops that of Ric Flair's.

I wasn't there, but I think I remember it being real close. Jonesville didn't blow anyone out, but done just enough to win it all. I think they finished 3rd or 4th in the Cumberland that year.
I dont remember since its been so long ago, but I thought Jonesville had more of an LSU look with the yellow helmets and the white uni's with blue stripes(instead of purple like lsu), but like I said, I really dont remember. I wish someone had a pick of them. I remember almost everything about them, Yeary being the tailback, Strasburg being the team in the final, everything, but I dont really remember the uniforms.
